As employees of the only level 1 trauma center in Northern Arizona, Katlyn Estep and her team had been hit particularly hard by COVID-19, especially due to their proximity to the Navajo Nation/Indian Reservations.

Katlyn’s fellow charge nurse and herself were interested in putting together gift bags to say “THANK YOU” to their amazing staff for all of their dedication and hard work over the past few months.

These bags were also meant for encouragement to prepare to the next wave of cases. When Katlyn discovered the Hero’s Heart pin, she knew they had to be included in the gift bags.
