What is Hero’s Heart?

Hero’s Heart is a program, created by the Bennett Awards team, that enables organizations and individuals to recognize our essential heroes who have given their hearts, and given us hope, during this COVID-19 crisis. We've conceived of this program to apply to those in the Covid-19 crisis; however, this program also applies to all unsung heroes.

What do the pin colors signify?

Each color represents a subcategory of frontline workers, from healers and educators, to providers and protectors. We’ve also included a general “heroes” category, which encompasses everyone who has stood up to help others.

Can I select where my donation goes?  

Yes, after your purchase, you will be able to designate which of our partner 501(c) charities you would like to receive the donation associated with this purchase.

How does the program work?

This program creates a vehicle for organizations, individuals and social media to recognize these essential heroes. We have created recognition pins and awards, along with other complementary items, to demonstrably show these heroes how much we appreciate and value their contributions. In addition, we’ve created the hashtag, #OurHerosHeart, to encourage each recipient to share their amazing story with others.

What does the design of the pin symbolize?

The design for this pin was inspired by the combined impact of these essential heroes’ contributions. These heroes are physically separated, but connected across geography, industry, politics and faith by a common bond of service and sacrifice. Their collective actions have given all of us subsistence and shelter during this pandemic crisis, and established the foundation for a return to normal life.

Why a Pin?

Hero’s Heart pins can be given to heroes as a daily reminder of the gratitude we have for their sacrifices and heroic action. When worn, they serve as a symbol that their sacrifices are noticed and appreciated by others. 

Will all profits be donated to charity?

Yes, all profits from purchases of these items will be donated to a handful of select non-profit organizations that are helping those most affected by this pandemic. Learn more at this link.

We believe recognition is an essential part of the human experience. Our Hero’s Heart is a phrase that unifies us in honoring the stories of individual heroes.  Along with the pin, we invite everyone to share some of their stories on Instagram using the hashtag #OurHerosHeart.
